Most leaders know the pattern. You go to the event. The room is electric. You fly home full of vision and a notebook full of ideas. And within two weeks, the calendar swallows you whole.
The conference becomes a feeling you used to have. Nothing actually changes.
We built Tentmakers to close that gap. We don’t sell a mountain top. We sell the long walk down the other side, when everyone else has gone home.
More than a retreat. A complete journey.
From your application to your place in our alumni community, every step is designed to help you build a healthier marriage, stronger leadership, and a practical roadmap for what’s next. We don’t just help you find clarity, we walk with you until that clarity becomes reality.

Alumni
A lighter, lasting connection.
A day set apart in Montana, with room to breathe on both sides.
The heart of the engagement happens here: the strengths work, the hard conversations, the roadmap built for you and no one else.
Montana is the divine interruption. Next steps become clear. The transformation takes root when you return home and begin building differently.
You go home carrying something real, not just a feeling.
Most leaders leave an event with inspiration, a notebook full of ideas, and the hope that life somehow will make room for change.
Tentmakers is designed differently.
Here is what you actually carry out of Tentmakers, from the moment you leave Montana through the months that follow.
What you carry out the door:
- A Spiritual focused, CliftonStrengths profile for both of you, naming your unique gifts, revealing how you’re wired, and giving language for how you’re meant to lead together.
- A written, custom roadmap for your next season, built around your marriage, your family, your calling, and the priorities God is placing in front of you.
- Clear next steps in priority order so you know what to pursue, what to release, and what deserves your energy first.
- Ongoing coaching as you return home because clarity matters most when real life starts pushing back.
- Voice-message support between sessions so obstacles don’t become stopping points.
- A one-page focus for each month so you always know the next right step.
Three things you will not find anywhere else.
A husband and wife serving husbands and wives.
We are not consultants studying marriages from the outside. We are a couple who built, lost, and rebuilt together, sitting across the table from another couple doing the same. Erin works with the wife. Brent works with the husband. Then all four of us sit down as one. A woman can draw out of a wife what no man can. A couple can see in a couple what a single advisor never will.
Built for you,
never from a binder.
We don't run you through a program. There is no workbook every couple gets handed on the way in. We build one roadmap for one couple, drawn from what surfaces in your time with us. Two couples who come through in the same month leave with two completely different plans. The customization isn't a feature we add on. It's the whole thing.
The follow-through is part of it, not sold back to you.
Everyone else stops at the event and hopes you figure out the rest. We don't. The months after you go home are built into the journey from the very start, because that is the part that actually bears fruit. When you say yes to Tentmakers, you have already said yes to the months that make it stick.
You go home. We go with you.
This is where Tentmakers stops looking like anything else you have tried.
For the season after your time in Montana, we meet twice a month. Once, all four of us together, working through your roadmap one piece at a time. Then two weeks later, the two of you split off. Brent with the husband, Erin with the wife, going deeper on what that month is asking of you.
And when you hit a wall between meetings, and every couple does, send us a voice message. We answer within a day, and we walk you around it, one obstacle at a time. That is usually the exact moment a couple would have stalled out. So that is exactly where we want to be.
THE WALK CONTINUES
Your roadmap runs deeper than those first months. When it makes sense, we keep walking with you to finish what we started together. What that looks like, we design with you, never off a template.
YOU WON’T FALL OFF A CLIFF
When the deep work is done, we don’t disappear. We stay connected, lighter but real, because the change only counts if it lasts. The couples we have walked all the way through are some of our closest friends, and our greatest joy.
We measure success by what's true six months after you leave.
Fruit looks different for every couple. For one it’s clarity. For another it’s the marriage, or the kids, or finally having peace, or a ministry that grows. We are not going to flatten that into a single number.
So in your first session, you name your own fruit. That becomes your target. Then we hold you to it. We write it down, we come back to it at month one, month three, and month six, and we look honestly at what changed.
Your goal stays yours. We just make sure it actually happens.
Our fruit grows on other people’s trees. We measure what is happening in your life months after you leave, not how you feel on the drive to the airport.
Less paper. More presence.
We don't serve everyone. A small table, on purpose.
Almost everyone who sits at this table was sent by someone whose life changed here. We are careful about our yeses, because there are only two of us and the work goes deep. We would rather walk a few couples all the way home than move a crowd through the door. If the table is full, we keep a waitlist, and we mean it when we say we will hold your place.
This was always meant to take both of you.
The first step is the application. Both spouses fill it out individually. We read everything, we pray over it, and we reach out personally. No automated responses. No sales funnel.
A note on cost: we talk about investment personally, after we have read your application. If that is on your mind, say so when you apply.
